My Dream Job

What I Want to Be In The Future

I used to be an accountant and work in a bank. When I was in Senior High School, I was inspired by my father.  I want to be an accountant because my father works in the bank. Another reason why I want to be an accountant is my favorite subject in the school is mathematics. However, I didn’t pass the examination to study accounting. I thought I didn’t work hard enough. Had I studied better, I would have passed the examination.  Although I didn’t pass the examination, I passed the SNMPTN. I got the English literature program.

Now, I am studying in Faculty of Letters Universitas Padjadjaran. In this faculty, I have studied some things about English. I have got also many experiences in writing. I have been taught some writing forms, such as an essay, a short story, and an article. In this faculty I learn not only to write in some writing forms but also translate some texts. I think both of them are valuable experiences.

Since I study in Faculty of letters, I change my goal. I want to be a teacher. I think I will have some spare time if I become a teacher. The spare time can be used to do other things. I can teach not only in the school but also in the course. Besides that, I not only can get an additional work but also have more time with my family. Having a spare time is good for a woman because she will be a housewife too. Thus, she needs extra time to take care of her family. Another reason why I want to be a teacher is becoming a teacher is worth. I can share my knowledge to others. Sharing the knowledge to others can increase our knowledge too.  

Becoming a translator is also my dream. If I become a teacher only in the school, I won’t be very busy. Thus, I can use my spare time. I want to be a translator because I think I can get extra money from this work. Besides that, I can translate some texts both in anywhere and at anytime. I can translate some texts when I have spare time and either in the home or in my office. Becoming a translator can also give me other knowledge because I will translate many kinds of texts.

Both becoming a teacher and a translator are now my dreams. Either becoming a teacher or translator is a good work. I have told some reasons why I want to be a teacher and a translator. I hope I will get one of my dream, which is become either a teacher or a translator, before I graduate from this faculty.
